Made It Hap-Pin!

This week was all about trying new recipes! First off, I followed an asparagus recipe from the site A Well Traveled Woman. Oil, salt, pepper and parm cheese. Very easy and delicious!

I also made Butterfinger Blondies and let me tell you, they were delicious...AFTER they cooled completely. My sis-in-law, her hubby and their beautiful baby girl came over for supper. I whipped these up for dessert and they were still warm when we ate them, which you think would be good, right? Not in my opinion. They just tasted funky. I tried one the next day and DANG! They were SOOOO good!!!! I think eating them warm made them taste more rich or something. I definitely recommend these, just let them cool ;)

I have had this bag of quinoa sitting in my cupboard for who knows how long. I take it out, consider doing something with it, give up, and shove it back in the shadowy corners of my cupboard. Well, I took it back out on Tuesday upon finding a Pin for Quinoa Bites. After reading the recipe, I gathered all courage and started making them.

Looking at the concoction in the bowl had me a little freaked out. But what did I have to lose? I threw them in the oven and said a prayer.

Much to my surprise, these were quite delicious!! They were incredibly filling and according to the site I found them at, 130 calories for EIGHT! I dipped them in honey mustard and oooh they were SOOOOO good!!!

And finally, the pizza calzone. Amazing! I recommend making homemade pizza dough as it "braids" better. Really easy way to use up leftover onion, ground turkey (or beef) peppers, etc. This is definitely a favorite now. DH is already brainstorming new fillings.

There you have it folks! Made ALOT Hap-Pin this week! Please share what you made hap-pin here:
